The real estate consulting practice of The Hanson Organization consists of real estate consultants under the supervision of the principal, Mark J. Hanson, Esq., LL.M (Tax), MAI, AI-GRS, SRA, SCGREA.
Founded in 1991, the principal of the practice has over 40 years of experience and recognition in the real estate industry in New Jersey. The Hanson Organization provides real estate consulting services to individuals, legal entities, private investors, accountants, attorneys and governmental bodies. The principal of the firm has been practicing law since 1987 and practicing real estate valuation since 1975.
Our work products include comprehensive appraisals, abbreviated appraisals known as Restricted Use Reports, appraisal reviews, expert reports for litigation support including testimony in the appropriate forum and consulting reports designed to advise on specific market issues (real estate damages, market studies, marketability studies, highest and best use studies, investment use analyses, feasibility studies), property management reports (physical inspections, lease analyses) and market research reports.
We specialize in before/after report methodologies involving partial interests (easements), eminent domain and real estate damage estimates. We also specialize in appraisal and consulting reports on taxation matters including: (1) “true value” reports and testimony on ad valorem taxation matters in New Jersey; and (2) Internal Revenue Service controversies requiring consulting reports and litigation support.
